stout (stout) adj. -er, -est. 1. Resolute or bold in character;
valiant. 2. Physically strong and vigorous; robust. 3.
Substantial; solid. -noun. A strong, very dark beer or ale.

I find "stout" to be a very fitting word to describe the wonderful breed of
the Bernese Mountain Dog. They are everything this adjective describes
and more. Most importantly, they are our best friends. They dote upon
their family and their love is boundless.
For me this is merely the beginning of what I hope is a long and fulfilling
journey in the world of Bernese Mountain Dogs.

On March 25th 2011, we lost our beloved boy Guinness. He is the reason I even ventured into the journey of show dogs and breeding. He was my heart, companion, my foundation. There are no words to describe the pain of his loss but the gift of having him in our lives is worth all that pain and more.
