Dog or any dog to your family is a huge responsibilty and a huge commitment of time, finances and effort. If you want one of these dogs just because they're "cute" or "beautiful" please think twice. They can be energetic puppies and very strong "teenagers" and adults. Consistant training is paramount to raising a good family member in your pet. Keep in mind that the original cost of your new pup is but a drop in the bucket of what you will spend throughout the lifetime of the dog. Another thing to consider is that these dogs shed A LOT (and sometimes drool) so if you are a fastidious house keeper this may not be the dog for you. Bernese Mt.
